About Us
We are a member of National Council for Voluntary Organisation (NCVO) and the Social Enterprise London (SEL). Clays Lane Trust works with local partnerships and encourage collaboration with the private, public and third sectors. We are currently working with the Social Enterprise Unit (SEU) at the University of Greenwich to develop vital programmes nationally and internationally. Clays Lane Project features as a case study in a new academic book written for Msaters degree students in Public Health in the School of Health and Social Care at the University of Greenwich (Professional Practice in Public Health released by Reflect Press).
Norfolk Projects:
Clays Lane Trust is in the process of developing its Norfolk branch in Hickling. We hope to provide support to an area affected by a decline in the traditional fishing and cultural industries. The property we acquired is known as The Sanctuary Store in Hickling near Cromer. It has historical value; formerly the Old Telephone Exchange at the turn of the 19th century. We plan to bring this property back to community use. We have had a history of refurbishing derelict building and creating social and physical value having done this in Clays Lane area in east London. We are currently running some community development projects in Africa, and in developing nations in the near future.
